Friends For All Names Amna Osman, President and CEO, Marking Next Chapter in Memphis Leadership
Memphis, Tenn. — Friends For All today announced that Amna Osman has been named President and CEO, marking a new chapter for the organization in its service to the Memphis and Mid-South community through healthcare, outreach, and support. Osman will also remain Chief Executive Officer of Nashville CARES, further strengthening alignment between the two organizations and supporting their shared commitment to expanding access to care across Tennessee.
The organization also shared that Diane Duke has retired from her role following years of leadership and service to Friends For All and the broader Memphis community.
For more than 40 years, Friends For All has been a trusted presence in the community, providing stigma-free, coordinated care that integrates medical services and wraparound support. Originally founded to address the HIV/AIDS crisis, the organization has evolved to meet the changing needs of the community, offering prevention, education, behavioral health support, and assistance addressing the social drivers of health that impact long-term wellbeing.
Osman steps into the role at a pivotal time for both the organization and the region. In recent years, Shelby County has experienced a rise in HIV cases, particularly among younger populations, underscoring the continued need for accessible, community-centered care and long-term, sustainable solutions.
“For more than 40 years, Friends For All has been a place of trust, compassion, and unwavering commitment to this community, and that legacy is deeply important to me,” said Amna Osman. “This work has always been about people, and that will continue to guide every step forward. We are here to build on that strong foundation, to listen, to show up, and to ensure that every person who walks through these doors continues to receive the care, dignity, and support they deserve. Our commitment is simple: to honor what has been built, while strengthening access to care for the future of Memphis.” In the coming weeks, we’ll be engaging directly through community conversation meetings to listen, share updates, and move forward together.”
As part of this next phase, Friends For All continues its work alongside CARES 360, the clinic division of Nashville CARES, building on a long-standing relationship between the two organizations that dates back to the early years of the HIV epidemic in Tennessee.
This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to expanding access to clinical care in Memphis while maintaining the continuity of services that patients and clients rely on. Through this partnership, Friends For All and CARES 360 are working together to strengthen care delivery, expand capacity, and ensure patients receive services from teams they know and trust.
Friends For All has been a trusted cornerstone in this community for more than 40 years, and that legacy is our responsibility to protect and carry forward,” said Jonathan Hancock, Member of the Friends For All Board. “As we look to the future, our focus is clear: ensuring stability, strengthening access to care, and continuing to serve our community with the same compassion and excellence that have defined this organization for decades. To do this, we must continue to innovate. Both the board and the Friends For All team are confident in Amna Osman’s leadership and her commitment to honoring our history while guiding us into our next chapter with purpose and integrity.”
All services continue at Friends For All’s 1548 Poplar Ave campus, and the CARES 360 Clinic at 806 Cooper Street, formerly known as The Corner, is open.
