HOUSING OPTIONS

  • Scattered Sites is a program that offers housing solutions to our Friends in various properties around the Memphis area. The agency holds the lease for these properties and works with our Friends/clients in the Mid-South to make sure they receive stable housing and are able to advance into private lease rentals.

  • To apply, each client needs to have a Vulnerability Index- Service Prioritization Decision Assistance Tool (VI-SPDAT) to determine if they are considered chronically homeless. If you are a Friend of ours (client), you can reach out to our Early Interventionist Specialist (EIS) team and they can complete the VI-SPDAT. Once the process is done and everything has been submitted, the client will be placed on a universal housing waiting list managed by The Coalition for The Homeless. If there is a unit available that you qualify for, we will then begin the requirement process.

  • This Housing and Urban Development (HUD) program assists low-income individuals and families by allowing them to rent housing in the private market. Eligible applicants receive a voucher to choose housing that meets the requirements of the program. Generally, renters pay between 30%-40% of household income for their rent. Case managers and clients identify units in different areas of the city that fit the special needs of persons with HIV/AIDS, including apartments designed for wheelchair accessibility. The TBRA program allows a family or individual to choose the area in which they would like to live. Case managers provide intensive supportive services to the tenants in order to improve housing stability and increase income levels. Families and individuals are also assisted with accessing all mainstream resources for which they may be eligible.

To use this program voucher, applicants must be able to meet landlord requirements and have landlord approval for the unit.

  • If you are a Friend of ours (client), you can reach out to our Early Interventionist Specialist (EIS) or Medical Case Management (MCM) team. Once the process is done and everything has been submitted, the client will be placed on an internal housing waiting list managed by our staff. Clients will then be contacted in the order the request was received.
